Gamestop streets of rage 47/17/2023 Honestly, even on EASY I'm struggling compared to Mania in previous versions which felt so much more balanced in comparison. Hopefully they rework some stuff in another 5 years. I will not be replacing my sorr 5.1a game. And I think it defaults to whatever the fuck balanced is!? Bruh. I probably don't understand it fully but not explaining something like that is incredible. did with attack damage for characters.lol what the fuck is that. I know what the options do, yeah, but I mean come on. Looking at you SoR4.Īlso if they can make game options not the most cryptic, vague shit possible, that would be nice. I refuse to believe the only way to make these types of games more difficult and engaging is by stripping agency away from the player with invincible and intangible enemy frames and fucking lazy amounts of super armor. Invincibility starts before the move visually cues and long after it ends. If you jump, a sor 1 signal can and will sprint across the level and have you land on their perfectly timed slide before you regain control of your character upon landing. The possibility of getting trapped with other enemy actions combined with their slide has opened up a near infinite amount of ways you can get stuck without recourse. Fights are longer waiting for your turn to attack them. Get that streets of rage 4 bullshit out of my streets of rage remake. I don't want to wait 2 - 3 seconds to attack basic mooks man. This honestly changes the game on a whole imo. Huge fucking swaths of animation are now invincible and intangible when sliding now. My biggest complaint with this game is what they did to signals. Mania is a different monster now I love it. It's hard, but for the most part it is a welcome difficulty increase. The circular flanking mooks will do has been improved so much, sometimes it feels like you're trying to fight off a swarm of bees. Mooks WILL hit you when you can't hit them when they are above and below you. For example the ai will take advantage of y axis strangeness as much as they can now. They take advantage of subtle nuances of sor mechanics much more now. Especially with the batshit insanity they got away with regarding sor 1 signal enemies and their "new and improved" sliding invincibility.Įnemy ai has been adjusted quite a large amount. You should be aware that the streets of rage 1 route is one of the harder of the 4 choices available. Some make sense, some don't and some aren't documented. I suggest you take a look on the sor remake forums and clicking bugtracks at the bottom for the gigantic amount of changes made to the game. Dude mania is much more unforgiving than it used to be now. (English is not my first language, hope there isn't any mistake) maybe there is a way, an info that could help, some tips to become better, anything. I want to know if anyone as something to share about this. Other than that the ennemy in easy become dormant and can't be considered as a threat so playing in this difficulty isn't an option. The answer is probably "get good" or stay on v5.1 (version that I still really enjoy) but I dont want to miss something from the update and maybe being bully by the AI is the "True SoR experience". In fact I wrote this down to know if Im the only one with this impression. The ennemy fly really quickly, catch mostly all of my attack and I play with the feeling that what works is purely due to luck. I played until I could switch to the SoR1 and going back there, the game become frustrating again. Then I start to play Axel and start the SoR2 route and I find the game more enjoyable, So I assumed that Blaze got "nerf" but it was still less pleasing than before. But nothing of what I learned on 5.1 worked in 5.2, at first I thought the updated AI was the problem, I had this strange feeling that my hitbox didnt connect like before, I searched in the option thinking that maybe I could change a setting and maybe it could go back to how it was before but nothing. the first time I played v5.2, I did as usual, Blaze + SoR1 route (Im a bit more nostalgic of the first one), SoR is about learning to get Good and with the time spend on the 5.1 I become good enough to learn the enemy behavior, analyse patern and find the best strat to win. The devs said that they improved the AI to give a "better challenge and better balance", but I dont see the improvement here. but since I switched from the 5.1 to the 5.2 I dont enjoy the game as much as before. Here is my problem, like a lot of us here Im a huge fan of SoR (mainly SoR4 and SoRR), and I play a lot of SoR remake, game I really enjoy.
